Ban on general lighting incandescent lamps with more than 100 watts

In accordance with the requirements of the five ministries and commissions of the State Council for the gradual ban on the import and sale of incandescent lamps for general lighting, the import and sale of incandescent lamps with general lighting of 100 watts or more was banned in November. The city’s industrial and commercial department has recently conducted a centralized inspection of the sales venues of urban lighting to ensure that the eliminated products are completely off-site and prevent some operators from selling illegal products.

Replacing incandescent light bulbs with energy-efficient products is a mandatory measure to ensure the realization of the “12th Five-Year Plan” energy-saving and emission-reduction goals and promote the optimization and upgrading of the lighting electrical appliance industry. In areas where urban hypermarkets, Xin'an Street, and Changjiang Market Park have concentrated lighting operations, industrial and commercial personnel go door-to-door to check whether the lighting operators understand the relevant regulations for the phase-out of incandescent lamps, and publicize relevant laws and regulations to operators. They put a good purchase channel to eliminate eliminated products into the market. Judging from the inspection results, at present, the city's market has not yet found incandescent lamps of 100 watts or more in sales, and most of the operators have already understood the relevant regulations of the country.
