1 step to synchronize IE and Edge favorites

I don't know if there is any sympathy among the buddies. The updated version of Windows 10 is much more useful than the previous versions. Whether it is input method, security protection or Edge browser, Xiao Bian now basically abandons all third-party pinching. On the other hand, Edge's support for online banking or Web sites that must use ActiveX controls is too bad. The IE has to be veteran on the court.

Well, new issues have also come. Although Edge provides the option to use Internet Explorer to open, some websites are under security considerations and the pages after the jump will be directly invalidated. It is really troublesome to copy/paste the webpage addresses back and forth between two browsers. Let them share a favorite folder. What browser is used for what website is not more convenient?

Windows 10 Professional

As usual, or first come to the professional version (Enterprise Edition also applies), Win+R enter gpedit.msc start group policy, select "Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Microsoft Edge."

On the right side, find the "Make Favorites in Internet Explorer and Micresoft Edge" project. Double-click and select "Enabled" to see that the IE and Edge favorites have been communicated to each other. Clip operations (add, delete, modify) will affect the other one.

WIndows 10 Home Edition

Because there is no group policy, the Home Edition can only be an old routine and modify the corresponding items of the registry to achieve the desired effect. Enter regedit after Win+R and navigate directly to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft

Create a new item named Microsoft Edge on the left, and continue under the new Microsoft Edge item to create a new item named Main.

Then a DWORD (32-bit) value named "SyncFavoritesBetweenIEAndMicrosoftEdge" is created on the right side, and the numerical data is set to 1.

After you restart your computer, Favorites can be synchronized between Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer.
