Magic Leap and Madefire announced at New York Comic Con that the two companies have been collaborating for the past five years and will bring mixed reality comics to Magic Leap’s upcoming consumer devices.
It is understood that consumers will be able to read AR comic novels through Madefire's Magic Leap app. The comic panel can be fixed on the wall of the room or float in the room in 3D. Through the drawing board, readers can enter into another world. In addition, the app will also act as a publishing tool, allowing all artists to publish their work through a simple web editor.
Madfire previously provided the virtual reality application "Madefire Comics" of the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR platform, but Madefire said that compared to the Gear VR version, the Magic Leap version has significantly improved spatial audio and readability.
Previously there was news that Magic Leap's head-display equipment was priced between $1,500 and $2,000, but it may change. The shape will be larger than ordinary glasses, but smaller than the existing VR heads such as Oculus's size.
