Yanyuan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. recently established a LED epitaxial factory in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Shengyang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., the chairman of the LED epitaxial factory, Yu Feng, pointed out that it is expected to become the world's top five LED epitaxial factories within 3-5 years.
Due to the optimistic growth potential of LED backlight and lighting applications, coupled with government support, market and proximity to customers, Yuyuan announced in November 2009 with LED packaging company Dongbei and LCD TV manufacturer LG and Ruixuan joint venture established Jiangsu Shengyang Optoelectronics.
The company said that the investment amount will be US$60 million at the beginning, and the investment will increase to US$270 million in the future. It is expected that 25 MOCVD machines will be installed by the end of 2010, and the installed capacity has been imported from Q2, and Q3 is expected to be put into production.
In addition, the company also plans to add 50 MOCVD machines by the end of 2011, when the capacity data will be considerable.
