Toshiba Lighting Technology Releases Large-Distribution LED Bulb to Dissipate Heat from Lampshade

Toshiba Lighting Technology Releases Large-Distribution LED Bulbs Toshiba Lighting Technology released a new type of bulb-type LED lighting - large light type "ordinary light bulb type 10.6W". The light distribution angle is 260°, which is the same as the bulb type fluorescent lamp. The incandescent light bulb with a brightness equivalent to 60W has a bright white luminous flux of 1000 lm and a bulb color of 810 lm. The company said that "the brightness of the industry is the highest in large light distribution products." Rated power consumption is 10.6W. Scheduled for listing on November 15, 2011.

In order to effectively release the heat of the LED components to the outside, the new product has a rib-like heat sink “three-arch radiator plate” at three locations inside the lampshade (half-spherical cover part). In LED light bulbs, the heat generated by the LED elements is generally emitted through the housing where the power source and the substrate are mounted. In the new product, heat transferred from the LED element to the substrate is released from the lampshade via the triple-arch radiator plate. As a result, the heat dissipation efficiency is improved compared to the original product, and the brightness of a 60W bulb can be achieved while maintaining the shape of the bulb.
