Therefore, if a waste energy-saving lamp is improperly disposed, it may pollute 90 tons to 180 tons of water and the surrounding soil.

Pollution of mercury by air: "Whether it is incineration or landfill, the mercury in the energy-saving lamp will cause great pollution to the soil and water." In severe cases, symptoms such as neurological disorders, dyslexia, delirium, and finally death may occur. Pregnant women have consumed methylmercury-contaminated fish and shellfish, and 64% of sick children have a history of acute vesicular disease.
