New Year's New Weather! From today, Dr.Bee will talk less about concepts and talk more about technology. Smart home technology and solutions are also the housekeeping skills of the magic bee.
Every one of us tries to discuss a problem, and hope that friends who are interested in technology can come in and go shopping every Monday.
Before we start talking about technology, let's make a hypothesis for the time being - the smart home system we use in the future is made up of many sensors, switchgear and central monitoring system. These devices cooperate with each other to complete the "smart" support of the home. .
At this stage, the echo system we have developed and used has joined some of IFTTT's practices, but it should be said that we are still in the "home automation" development stage. An important aspect of our current efforts is to continuously improve the control and feedback of human-computer interaction and build-up connection. When more and more connected home systems can run stably, the intelligent implementation will come true.
Closer to home, today we will talk about the connection.
Connection is a relatively communication problem, but it should be considered in product development and future market planning. There are many communication protocols currently used in home systems, ZigBee, Z-Wave, WiFi, Bluetooth, 6LoWPAN, and of course there are many other proprietary protocols. Needless to say, these protocols have their own living space and application scenarios suitable for them. Relevant detailed introductions or articles comparing these technologies are everywhere on the Internet. We will not go into details here. According to the current development, Dr.Bee believes that ZigBee technology will occupy a relatively large advantage in a period of time, and has been widely used in the field of home automation.
ZigBee's low power consumption and support for multi-nodes make it the best in today's sensor networks. Although it supports low data rates and limited transmission distance, it is used for data acquisition and monitoring purposes. The sensor network is enough. Of course, the use of ISM2.4G has its advantages and disadvantages, but as far as the current development is concerned, people have not put its "disadvantages" in the forefront, and ZigBee also supports gigahertz.
To form a ZigBee network, we must have a Coordinator. Its main function is to form a network and allow other ZigBee nodes to join the network, assign network addresses, adjust address conflicts, assist other joining devices to perform cluster pairing, and so on. In current home systems, this coordinator is usually placed in the Gateway (or Universal Hub) so that the user or Gateway controller can remotely form the network, monitor the network, etc. via the web api or locally (using buttons). We mentioned before that Deutsche Telekom Qivicon Hub is this form, users can log into the web application to form a home system and control and use various sensing devices, alarm devices and switch devices in the system.
Before forming a network, the Coordinator usually scans the channel (2.4G channel11-26) first. Currently, to reduce the channel interference between the WiFi and the WiFi, ZigBee recommends the home automation channel (11, 14, 15, 19, 20, 24). , 25). During scanning, the Coordinator records the noise of the swept channel and selects the channel with the least noise during the scan and forms a network on it.
When the network is formed, the Coordinator performs a series of local operations, such as determining the PANID, Extended PANID, etc. The most important one is the security setting, which is what we usually call the network key. A fixed password is specified in the ZigBee Home Automation Protocol, which means that all certified products should be able to use this password to join a ZigBee Home Automation (ZHA) network. This password has not changed in the 1.0-1.2.1 protocol. Of course, for a number of reasons, some uncertified products also get this password through some channels, then their products can also be added to the ZHA network.
After the network is formed, the Coordinator usually needs to open the network. In the early ZigBee home automation, the Coordinator could not open the network permanently, and generally only opened the network for 60 seconds. In the revised current specification, the Coordinator can be formed after the network is formed. Send a networkable command to broadcast and turn on the network for at least 3 minutes. Once the network is open, users can try to add new components to the network.
