According to Japanese company Iwasaki Electric and Teijin, they have recently developed the world's first all-plastic LED lamp. Of course, except for the high-heat-conductive resin bayonet socket, all other bodies are made of plastic materials for outdoor lighting. . This type of lamp holder is different from the previous aluminum. It makes full use of the RaheamaTM high thermal conductivity carbon material (polycarbonate resin) supplied by Teijin. The new luminaire weighs about 300 grams, the same as the usual self-contained mercury lamps. Since the LED lamp uses an aluminum housing to dissipate heat, the weight problem is gradually emerging. The challenge now is to develop a base that can effectively dissipate heat and control its weight.
