(NYSE: VSH) announced that it has introduced a new ultra-compact 0603 and 0805 device with power ratings of 0.375W and 0.675W, respectively, extending its PHP series of precision high-power films. Chip resistors . Vishay Dale thin-film devices combine high power with an absolute low TCR of ±25ppm/°C with tolerances as low as ±0.1% and operate over the -55°C to +125°C temperature range.

These resistors, released today, feature a stable film that delivers 1000 ppm performance at 2000 °C at +70 °C for high-precision medical imaging, industrial, communications, measuring instruments and equipment. The device uses a high-purity ceramic substrate and is designed with a larger back termination to reduce the thermal resistance between the top resistive layer and the solder joints on the end user's board.

The PHP series is available in 0603, 0805, 1206 and 2512 form factors with resistance values ​​from 10Ω to 30.1kΩ and is available with non-standard resistance values. The power rating of the resistor is up to 2.5W, which is 2 times higher than the traditional film chip resistor of the same size, the noise is lower than -30dB, the voltage coefficient is 0.1ppm/V, and the voltage level is 75V~200V. The device has lead-free and lead-free terminations and is RoHS and UL 94 V-0 compliant.

Samples of the 0603 and 0805 form factor PHP series are available now and are in volume production. Standard orders are available in lead times from eight weeks to ten weeks.
