According to the results released by Philips in the fourth quarter of 2009, in terms of the lighting business, sales of LED products accounted for more than 10% of total Philips sales.

Sales of the lighting business unit have fallen from 1.939 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2008 to 1.846 billion euros in the fourth quarter of 2009. However, sales for the full year of 2009 were 6.546 billion euros, a 13% drop on a comparable basis.
