In the past two years, I have found that people's demand for headphones is constantly changing. The earliest headphones may only be comfortable, but today's headphones, active noise reduction, 3D surround stereo, including these two days of very artificial artificial intelligence are the essential attributes of the headset. Wireless headsets appeared earlier, and Bluetooth technology is also very mature today. Today I want to talk to you about wireless headphones.
Bluetooth technology has come very early. We have also used button headsets, which are generally more convenient for receiving and calling. Today I want to talk to you about a real wireless headset.
Today, wireless has become our specific needs. We hope to be more convenient and our homes are also covered by wireless. The same wireless headphones can improve the enjoyment of life.
Remember all the troubles you have with wired headphones?
When I first started using wireless products, I always chose to use them more easily. Those operations are complicated and I am very repulsive. But when I used wireless headphones, it was almost an irreversible change. Just like you used to use WiFi, you never want to go back to the days when you plugged in the network cable. For this reason, I think it can be summarized as one sentence:
"I want to be as free as a dream."
The FIIL headset is a very big effort in the wireless layout. All the products are wireless. Sports or life, wireless convenience will be stronger. Everyone knows that the transmission of Bluetooth will cause a certain loss of sound quality. When the team did research and development, I asked our engineers to solve this problem.
Apple's AirPods did a true wireless, and the line between the two earbuds was replaced by wireless transmission. Because Apple combines the underlying Bluetooth technology with the chip, wireless transmission can be performed between the two earbuds without loss of sound quality. This is the direction we will do in the future.
The sound quality of wireless headphones
Wireless headphones often give people a bad impression of sound quality
There are many factors that determine the sound quality from the music file, playback front-end, transmission mode, and sounding unit. If the other items are the same, the transmission mode will have a great decisive effect on the sound quality.
Due to the limited channel size of Bluetooth transmission, large HD files cannot pass directly, if forced to pass...
So you have to compress to make the file smaller, and the compressed sound quality in the end, you have to see what codec technology to use to compress.
Currently, there are three main encoding and decoding technologies for Bluetooth transmission: SBC, AAC, and aptX.
SBC: All Bluetooth products support SBC. Due to the relatively large compression loss, its sound quality is the worst among the three codec technologies. It is mainly adapted to Bluetooth calls. Earphones used this method in the past and led to the formation of people. Poor sound quality of wireless headphones.
AAC: Full name Advanced Audio Coding, which uses a new algorithm for encoding, more efficient. It makes people feel that the sound quality is not significantly reduced under the premise of more compact, but also more suitable for Bluetooth transmission.
aptX: With the ever-increasing volume of music files, the demand for compression is getting higher and higher, so CSR introduced aptX technology, which allows audio to maintain high quality when compressed, up to the CD's audio quality standards.
The three mainstream codecs, the sound quality of the order is aptX> AAC> SBC, in an aptX contrast SBC test, you can see SBC (red) has a greater distortion, and aptX still maintain a stable curve.
When buying headphones, remember to see what technology the headset supports. Also note that Bluetooth is the communication between the two devices. The front end you are using needs to support the same technology to work properly. Currently, Apple phones use AAC, and aptX has some Android phones.
The battery life of the headset determines the frequency at which it can be charged. No one wants to charge the headset at any time like a mobile phone, so the longer the battery life is, the better.
The parameters of the battery life can be categorized into the following:
Continuous play time: It determines how long it takes to charge one time. The industry test standard is to turn off all other functions (noise reduction, etc.). The data obtained by testing the mid-range volume is the life time. Due to the difference in actual use intensity of each person, the life time and the nominal time will fluctuate.
Standby time: obviously enough power, put a few days after the use of power is not enough, this is the result of insufficient standby time.
Charging speed: Headphones are dead, and you are rushing to use them. The faster you charge, the less time you have to wait.
The endurance of the headset is affected by many factors such as the volume of the headset, the capacity of the battery, and the optimized technology, so the battery life between the headsets is also very different. General sports headsets are in the 4-10 hour range and headsets are in the 15-30 hour range.
Wireless headset transmission performanceBluetooth transmission performance in the connection stability, anti-jamming capability, transmission distance and so on. Since the human body itself has a great interference with Bluetooth, Bluetooth headsets with poor transmission performance may be worn on the right side and worn on the left side may appear intermittent.
This is a test of the antenna design in the headset R&D process. Our RF engineer told me that this needs to be done:
Select the most suitable antenna type and design optimization shape
Finding the most suitable space location
Overall system design layout to avoid all possible electromagnetic interference or harmful signal reflection or shielding
The impedance network of the antenna and the entire RF system are matched to achieve the highest energy conversion efficiency
It may seem a little difficult to understand, simply put, is a tiny location, shape design differences, it may result in signal effects greatly reduced, in order to achieve maximum efficiency, can only be adjusted through continuous testing.
Transmission performance, there is no more intuitive and easy-to-understand data can explain, here to teach you a simple test method:
1. Put on headphones and test the phones on the left, right, back pockets and backpacks to see if there is a change in sound quality or connection instability.
2. Put the phone a little far away (3-5 meters), bring a headset, and test the phone with the headset in front and in the back and forth.
