LED bulbs replacing 40/60W incandescent lamps fell 2% and 6% respectively in July

[High-tech LED News] Recently, a research institute market surveyed the retail prices of warm white LED bulbs used to replace traditional 40W and 60W incandescent bulbs in major markets around the world. The results showed that LED bulbs replacing traditional 40W incandescent lamps were replaced in July. The average retail price is $24, down 2% from June; the traditional retail price of replacing traditional 60W incandescent lamps is $45, down 6% from June and will continue to decline in the future.

The survey shows that the most obvious price decline is in Europe, where the average price decline is more than 2 digits, followed by Japan, with an average decline of about 5%, followed by the US market, while the Korean market is flat.

The agency pointed out that as the price of LED bulbs continued to decline, the price per thousand lumens of light flux also fell. The LED bulb that replaces the traditional 40W incandescent lamp has an average price of $52 per thousand lumens in July; the LED bulb that replaces the traditional 60W incandescent lamp has an average price of $55 per thousand lumens.

In addition, the agency pointed out that the number of LED bulbs in China's Taobao channel market has increased rapidly since June, and even reached thousands in July.
