NXP introduces several new LED driver ICs for improved LED lamps

NXP exhibited several new LED driver ICs for compact non-dimming, improved LED lamps at the Guangzhou Lighting Fair this week. This is a new member of the NXP SSL2108x / SSL2109A series. Following SSL21081, SSL21082, SSL21083 and SSL21084 have been added one after another, which provides a unified design platform for lamp designers. Based on GreenChip technology, the SSL2108x series is optimized for high output voltage non-isolated topologies and applications that do not require TRIAC dimmer compatibility. The SSL2109A series is a high-precision, high-efficiency power factor LED driver solution.

The SSL2108x series provides the industry's best solution for the compact non-dimmable LED lamp market, not only with an energy efficiency ratio of up to 95%, high integration and extremely low electronic material costs, but also with LED current regulation performance better than 5% And comprehensive protection functions. The SSL21083A compact non-dimming driver not only supports 230V input voltage, the efficiency is higher than 90%, but also has a built-in MOSFET, high-voltage startup, simplifying peripheral circuits and reducing BOM cost. The SSL2108x series of high-efficiency, high-voltage LED driver ICs can comprehensively consider energy efficiency and cost without sacrificing product performance, in order to adapt to various designs. The SSL2109A external power switch controller supports up to 25W, supports critical conduction mode, the efficiency can be optimized to 95%, the LED current accuracy is controlled within 5%, and the power factor reaches 0.9.
