On August 11th, Sharp released new LCD-80XU35A and LCD-70XU30A TVs that reached the 8K resolution level in China and is expected to be available at the end of August, but the price has not yet been determined.
The two new 8K LCD TVs released this time adopt a new four-color technology, and the "Red, Green, Blue and Yellow" pixel structure enables the screen to reach a level of 8K resolution, and is equipped with an X8-MEP professional image processing engine. The input 4K signal can be raised to 8K.
In terms of color performance, the new product has a new wide color gamut technology for a new phosphor LED backlight system. Moreover, the new LCD-80XU35A is also equipped with a "new color" technology, through the partition to control the brightness of the backlight, thereby improving the brightness and darkness of the image contrast, bright parts of the image more bright, dark part of the darker and deeper images.
In addition, Sharp has also launched the LCD-UG30A series (70/60 inch) TV product at this conference, using Sharp 4K Japan original LCD panel and the newly developed wide color gamut technology.
With regard to the problem of relatively few 8K sources, Sharp said that firstly, the X8-MEP professional image processing engine can effectively enhance the performance of existing 1080P and 4K videos, allowing existing videos to reach even better levels through Sharp's 8K TV. In addition, because the current user image effects are no longer satisfied with 4K, for example, more camera technologies have reached 8K resolution, so the market of 8K TV is still very much in line with the needs of users.
Sharp said that the two 8K TV LCD-80XU35A and LCD-70XU30A that are released in China today are expected to be listed at the end of August. Although the current price has not yet been determined, it will not be particularly ridiculous.
